post Dell Inspiron 1501-Screen Replacement

I’ll get right to it. This is pretty straight forward. This is assuming you already have the matching replacement screen in hand.
-Pop the rubber caps covering the screws around the bezel.
-Now time to remove the bezel. I suggest using an old credit card for this. You’ll need to apply a bit of force to snap the bezel off of the screen and don’t wan to scratch anything up.
-Once the bezel is removed, you will be greeted with 6 screws on the bottom, 2 at either edges and 2 screws at the top.
-next comes 5 small screws on either side.

These screws are all essentially just holding the actual LCD screen to a wire frame.
Now, there are two connectors on the back. Simple, just slide them off.

Pop in the new screen:
-Attach the connectors
-Attach the side screws
-Attach the top screws
-Throw on the bezel. It uses snaps, so should be a lot easier to snap in.

Bam, done.
I know, this is a pretty high level over view, but i figured i’d throw it up here as i couldn’t find anything online.
Pictures to come.
