Last night i had one of my laptops failed on me. Needless to say, after hours of troubleshooting, i decided it was time to do a restore.

Although I’m very strict on my backup routine, i tend to exhaust all troubleshooting efforts before i do a restore.

Now, this laptop was fairly new. I didn’t really have the time to add it to the backup scheduled/routine. This was even worse as i was using the unit as my primary machine when I’m on the go.

However, faith would play a part here. Just before i ran into issue with the box, i had just done configuring it with an image and file based backup the night before.

Needless to say, i am quite thankful i did that, as i have a few very important items on there.

Now all is well and we are back up and running. Just need to figure out why i had the issue in the first place.
